Sara Ramirez
Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico and is an American-Mexican actor. She sings as well. Sara Ramirez was brought up by her American mother and was subjected to a variety of racist taunts that caused her to feel uncomfortable. The confidence started to build at the age of nineteen when she entered a school audition and was highly praised for her singing. This not only increased confidence in herself, but it also changed her career ambition. She was a graduate of New York's Julliard School at the age of 22. In the year 23 she began her career making her debut at the Broadway in Paul Simon's The Capeman and in films featuring You've Got Mail. The role of The Lad of The Lake was her most memorable success, and earned herself the Tony Award in addition to praise from critics for her performance. Her fame grew by appearing on Grey's Anatomy on ABC as Dr. Callie Torres. As a well-known singer, she has also released a single as well as an extended play. Additionally, she works as an LGBT activist.
